Responsibility

Responsibility is a prerequisite for operating in accordance with Kaarea’s values.

We want to develop our responsibility in order to meet the expectations of our customers, staff, and owners, as well as to fulfil our obligations to society. We work determinedly to achieve our jointly set goals.

Our areas of responsibility include social responsibility, responsibility for quality, environmental responsibility, and financial responsibility.

Social responsibility

We value hard work and care about people – our customers, our staff, our partners, and ourselves.

We guarantee equal treatment, good working tools, and a safe working atmosphere and environment for our staff. It is important to us to develop the skills and professional competence of our employees. We want to be a responsible employer by offering varied work and by taking care of our staff’s work ability and occupational safety.

We take labour and human rights, environmental impacts, and nutritional recommendations into account in our food procurement.

Quality responsibility

We provide high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative services that meet our customers’ needs in accordance with our customer agreements.

We ensure quality through self-monitoring and official supervision. We regularly conduct operational quality assessments and customer satisfaction surveys, and we develop our operations based on customer feedback. We train our staff in their duties both in general and in relation to specific targets and tasks.

Environmental responsibility

We operate in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. We work in a target-oriented way to reduce the environmental impact and carbon footprint of our operations.

In our food services, environmental responsibility is taken into account in food procurement and menu planning in accordance with customer agreements. We ensure that waste is sorted appropriately and that packaging is recycled. Our production facilities take energy efficiency into consideration, and attention is also paid to food transportation. Above all, we focus on monitoring and reducing food waste in order to minimise our environmental impact.

Financial responsibility

In our operational activities, we bear financial responsibility through careful planning and monitoring of procurements, resources, and processes. Our goal is to operate on a stable financial basis.

Measuring the company’s tax footprint makes our financial responsibility visible to us and our customers. Our tax footprint includes statutory payments related to staff, withholding taxes deducted from salaries, and taxes paid by our company.
