Are you a local, organic, or small-scale food producer? Are you looking for new ways to supply your products? Join our new procurement system!

Kaarea prepares nearly 52,000 meals daily across Southwest Finland. Our goal is to expand our food sourcing from local producers and create more open dialogue with suppliers in our region. That’s why we’ve launched a new electronic procurement system (Dynamic Purchasing System, DPS) for local food products. We warmly invite all local and small-scale producers to participate!

Why join?

In our system, you can offer exactly what you have, based on seasonal availability. This allows producers of all sizes to participate, even with smaller batches. Through the system, Kaarea can combine deliveries from multiple producers to meet its needs.

There is no limit to the number of producers, and you can leave the system at any time – no long-term commitments or requirements for fixed production volumes. Producers are welcome to join the system even if they do not have products available to offer at the time of registration.

How can I participate?

Food producers can join the system if they meet the eligibility criteria set out in the procurement documents. These documents can be accessed via the Cloudia Supplier Portal.

To participate, simply register on Cloudia and sign up for Kaarea’s procurement process.

The system is currently open for products that can be used directly as ingredients in our menus and recipes:

• Potatoes (washed, peeled, chopped)
• Vegetables and root vegetables (washed, whole or chopped)
• Other fresh produce (whole or chopped)

We aim to expand to other products and product groups in the future. We encourage all producers to register and list their products, so we can explore the potential of new product groups!
