I work in Kaarea’s catering services. I pick and pack food and meals in TYKS Main hospital’s kitchen for wards that are part of the decentralised food distribution system. Since the start of 2020, I’ve also acted as an occupational safety representative, which takes up three days a week of my work time.

I have enjoyed working in catering services since 1992. I transferred to TYKS from the city hospital kitchen in Mäntymäki. I was incredibly nervous, but I was given such a warm welcome that it really moved me. That’s why it’s been so nice here. There’s a great atmosphere at Kaarea, and even if you have a bad day, you can always talk about it and everyone understands.

I can absolutely recommend this to others. We have a great work atmosphere and great people.
