I first started at Kaarea as an intern on service development projects. Work later continued on a fixed-term contract. The projects I worked on were diverse and demanding. I always felt that I was trusted and given free rein to do my work.

Kaarea welcomed me with open arms and I settled in to the community well. There was always support whenever I needed it. I felt like I was needed and that people were satisfied with my work. I’ve never received as much positive feedback as I have here.

In my opinion, the internship system is fair to employers and employees, and Kaarea handles it extremely well.
