Logistics is one of the most significant sources of our environmental impact and, at the same time, one of our greatest opportunities to make a concrete difference. The Ekokompassi environmental certificate, which we achieved in 2025, guides us in developing our operations purposefully towards lower-emission solutions.

We have committed to an ambitious goal: by 2029, our production vehicle fleet will have transitioned to solutions where half of the vehicles are electric and half run on renewable diesel. This measure also actively supports the Carbon-neutral Turku 2029 target, which Kaarea has committed to as a partner in Turku’s climate work.

We are already seeing results. We have renewed our fleet systematically and efficiently towards more environmentally friendly alternatives:

• The number of vehicles using fossil fuels has dropped to just six (6/38).
• All our diesel vehicles (25 in total) use renewable diesel.
• The number of electric vehicles is steadily increasing. We already have seven in our fleet.

In addition to renewing our fleet, we continuously develop our operations by training supervisors to make even better use of vehicle tracking. This helps us ensure that driving is efficient, economical and environmentally friendly. We will also continue to renew our fleet systematically towards more environmentally friendly alternatives.

For us, reducing emissions is not just a goal – it is part of our everyday work and our responsible service promise.
